THE

Big Bang! Science fair

FUTURE Our budding scientists of the future had an exciting day at the NEC Big Bang Science Fair. The winners of the science competition streamed into the venue, where there was a throng of excitement. The children explored so many stalls - experimenting with slime, static movement, virtual reality and hovercraft building. The children had an inspiring day and returned to school full of enthusiasm for their future. Thanks to Mrs. Johnson for the story. STONE AGE CAVES 3J had an exciting, yet wet day in the caves on Monday. As soon as we arrived, we put on our helmets, with torches to light the way. Jack, the caveman, led us to the Robin Hood Cave where we explored where the people of The Stone Age may have lived. We were then led deeper into the dark caves, where we turned out our lights to imagine how life would have been back then. 3J also became geologists - exploring rocks of various types and ages. Finally, the children were able to look at skeletons from the Stone Age. The children put them together with care, to discover a wolf, hyena and cave lion. Even though it was wet, we still all had a fantastic day. Thanks to Mrs. Johnson for the story.
