Qualifications/Professional membership Essential 1. Appropriate degree level qualification. 2. Appropriate professional registration/accreditation or demonstrable equivalent experience. Desirable 1. Recognised programme or project management qualification. 2. IOSH “Managing Safely” qualification or equivalent. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Essential 1. Substantial experience at senior manager level within an organisation of comparable scope, size and complexity. 2. A substantial record of achievement in project management with a deep knowledge of, and credibility in, a large number of different and complex disciplines, for example construction, safety, electrical and mechanical engineering, planning and financial management. 3. Specialist knowledge and experience of managing construction projects. 4. Excellent project management skills and the ability to use innovation and creativity to solve complex problems. 5. Experience of and expertise in budgeting, forecasting and the management of financial and other resources. 6. Good leadership skills, including the ability to motivate large and diverse teams in order to achieve a high level of performance. 7. Excellent customer relations skills, including a commitment to continuous improvement to respond to staff and student requirements to deliver a high level of customer service. 8.
