DowDuPont To Invest $100M At Sabine River Works DowDuPont plans to make a series of investments totaling approximately $100 million over the next two years to expand manufacturing capacity and to modernize facilities at the Sabine River Works (SRW) plant in Orange County, Texas. The investments will incrementally expand production capacity to sup- port global growth of specialty materials manufac- tured at the site, specifically the Surlyn, Nucrel, Fusabond and Vamac -product lines. Additionally, the company is evaluating longer-term plans to invest in a new facility to further support market growth. The joint investment will support customer growth of both the Packaging & Specialty Plastics (P&SP) business of DowDuPont’s Materials Science Division (to be named Dow), as well as the Transportation & Advanced Polymers (T&AP) business of its Specialty Products Division (to be named DuPont). FPA worked with Euromonitor International to develop the Flexible Packaging Market Tracker. The tool fea- tures 20 key flexible packaging country markets and highlights market dynamics, trends, and opportunities to expand business internationally. The Flexible Packaging Market Tracker is an online research tool to enhance the FPA website and tracks and compares flexible packaging markets around the globe to help members better understand, prioritize, build business cases, and capture global market oppor- tunities for flexible packaging. It enables members to access market information from around the globe, not only on flexible packaging materials and markets, but on competing products for those markets as well.
