EDUCATION & CHILDCARE
Working with children and young people is both rewarding and fulfilling. While many careers are available in nursery and childcare settings, opportunities also exist in education, social care, mental health, family support and youth justice services. At Preston College, our T Level in Education and Early Years combines classroom learning with an extended industry placement, providing valuable real-world experience. You will study child development, safeguarding, health and safety, wellbeing, supporting learning, managing behaviour, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and working with families and support services. Students benefit from specialist learning rooms equipped with a range of childcare resources, including simulation babies, children’s books, toys and educational activities. There are also dedicated areas where students can use their creativity to design learning displays that encourage children to explore topics such as reading, mathematics, nature, community awareness and wellbeing.
