Science is a diverse field offering hundreds of career opportunities across a wide range of industries. You could specialise in a particular discipline or apply your scientific skills in commercial settings. Career opportunities include research, healthcare sciences, forensic science, environmental science, food science, chemistry, geoscience and academia. To succeed, you will need strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills to interpret and present scientific findings. At Preston College, you can study the T Level in Science, which provides a broad foundation of knowledge that can be applied across a variety of scientific disciplines. Students also benefit from our iSTEM Centre, home to dedicated science laboratories and specialist equipment, including a PCR machine for DNA analysis, ultraviolet-visible and infrared spectrophotometers, a digital melting point apparatus and forensic investigation kits.
