On our International Relations programme, you will explore globalisation and global institutions, development and human rights, international and regional politics, peace and conflict, political economy, security and strategic studies, and you will learn how power, institutions and laws affect our day-to-day lives. You will gain an understanding of the patterns of behaviour between nations, their leaders and corporations, focusing on the interactions and inter-relationships between philosophical, political and economic thought. You have the opportunity for a placement with the National Assembly for Wales as part of the module: The National Assembly for Wales. Swansea University is also one of a limited number of institutions selected to partner with the UK Parliament to deliver an innovative Parliamentary Studies module, which students will be able to take in their third year. The module includes a series of sessions with experts and members of staff working in the UK Parliament and
