BRIANNA’S HEALTHY MASON JAR SALADS
Making a Mason Jar Salad is SIMPLE - Layer from Bottom to Top!
INGREDIENTS: •Dressing (2 tablespoons is usually a serving) • Non-absorbance Vegetables such as Peppers, Carrots, Broccoli, Cabbage, etc. • Fruit – Blueberries, Strawberries, or Apple Slices • Vegetables that tend to absorb liquid (Cucumbers, Tomatoes) • Starch (if using) - Quinoa, Lentils, Chickpeas, Black beans (great for a Mexican Salad), or Brown Rice • Seeds, Nuts - Sliced Almonds or Cashews! You could also add Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Walnuts, or Pecans • Cheese (if using) • GREENS - Spinach, Kale, Spring Mix, etc.
Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing • 2 tablespoons Strawberry Preserves • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil • 1 tablespoon White Wine Vinegar • 1 tsp. Mustard • Dash of Pink Himalayan Salt & Pepper
DIRECTIONS: Blend together and keep in a glass, air tight container. Refrigerate until ready to enjoy!
