A SIMPLE TEST “ Is Your Neck Causing Back Pain? ” This test will tell you if it is really your neck causing your back pain 1. Stand normally

2. Turn your head left and right as far as you can comfortably. Have your friend note how far you turn.

3. Sit in a chair and repeat the turning of your head both ways. Have your friend again note how far you turn.

4. Ask your friend if there is a difference in your neck movement, standing compared to sitting.

I graduated in May 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. I am presently in graduate school at the University of South Florida to obtain a Master’s of Science degree in Exercise Science with the concentration of Strength and Conditioning. I specialize in weight training and aerobic training utilizing a professional programming style utilizing reps, sets, and rest periods. I started weight training in my freshmen year of high school where I competed barely able to bench press the standard 45-pound bar at around 100 pounds. Training helped me excel very quickly in the sport and I ended up breaking the records for the school. I was an athlete all through high school and couldn’t give it up after I graduated so I knew my passion was with fitness. My goal is to help people be the best they can be (somatically and mentally). Exercise can be a fun lifestyle with the proper education and assistance. I find working with people one-on-one most effective. Therefore, Fit 4 Life could not be any more optimal for me to establish my goal. Strength is empowering.”

Making a Mason Jar Salad is SIMPLE - Layer from Bottom to Top!

INGREDIENTS: •Dressing (2 tablespoons is usually a serving) • Non-absorbance Vegetables such as Peppers, Carrots, Broccoli, Cabbage, etc. • Fruit – Blueberries, Strawberries, or Apple Slices • Vegetables that tend to absorb liquid (Cucumbers, Tomatoes) • Starch (if using) - Quinoa, Lentils, Chickpeas, Black beans (great for a Mexican Salad), or Brown Rice • Seeds, Nuts - Sliced Almonds or Cashews! You could also add Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Walnuts, or Pecans • Cheese (if using) • GREENS - Spinach, Kale, Spring Mix, etc.

Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing • 2 tablespoons Strawberry Preserves • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil • 1 tablespoon White Wine Vinegar • 1 tsp. Mustard • Dash of Pink Himalayan Salt & Pepper

DIRECTIONS: Blend together and keep in a glass, air tight container. Refrigerate until ready to enjoy!

Try this exercise to get you moving... QUADRUPED ALTERNATE ARM & LEG RAISE While on your hands and knees, slowly raise up an arm out in front of you. Then, slowly raise the opposite leg behind you, while keeping your back straight. Hold for 10 seconds. Repeat 3 times on both sides.
