Dr. Brandon Beamer is a board certified, fellowship trained, orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, advanced arthroscopic techniques, and shoulder reconstruction. He strives to return patients to their healthy and active lifestyle with the least invasive, quickest recovery possible. Dr. Beamer’s practice with Bridger Orthopedic and Sports Medicine focuses on arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip and knee. Dr. Beamer also has extensive training and experience with leading edge regenerative technologies (Orthobiologics), which include platelet rich plasma (PRP) and regenerative cell procedures from adipose and bone marrow tissues. These technologies harness the body’s own healing potential and amplifies it to either avoid surgery altogether or enhance the healing and recovery of surgery if indicated. Dr. Beamer utilizes all of his tools, many of which are new to our area, to assure the best possible outcome. Medicine and Montana have always been beckoning Dr. Beamer. Born in Havre, Montana and later moving to Northern California, he wrote in a report in the 3rd grade that he wanted to be a physician and go to Harvard. He achieved both of those early goals. Growing up, he participated in athletics and spent time outdoors enjoying hunting, fishing, skiing, and dirt bike riding. He ultimately decided orthopedic surgery was his calling after shadowing an orthopedic surgeon in college who had just operated on his father. What impressed Dr. Beamer was the fact that complex surgeries could be completed with advanced instruments through tiny incisions. Furthermore, the patients they saw in clinic were doing incredibly well and it made him realize that saving lifestyles was very impactful. Besides being an excellent technician in the operating room, Dr. Beamer is an incredibly caring individual. A big contributing factor to this was growing up with, and looking after, his younger sister with Down Syndrome. He took that drive to look after those who are faced with disabilities on the road in college participating in a charity cycling trip 4000 miles across the United States raising awareness and funds for programs benefiting children with disabilities.

Entering college at UC Berkeley, he was excited to be a part of their world-renowned Biology program, ranked in the top 5% in the United States. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology and graduated with honors in 2005. He attended medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City and completed his Doctor of Medicine with honors in research. His time at Cornell was spent training with- and conducting award winning research with some of the country’s most elite surgeons at the Hospital for Special Surgery, which is the top ranked orthopedic hospital in the US. Dr. Beamer then went on to complete his orthopedic residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program, in Boston, Massachusetts, and operated at the nation’s top hospitals including Massachusetts General and Boston Children’s Hospital. After nine years on the east coast, it was time for Dr. Beamer to head back west. For his fellowship training Dr. Beamer chose the Stanford Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship in Palo Alto, California. This fellowship program is one of the most highly sought-after sports medicine programs in the country. While at Stanford, Dr. Beamer had the opportunity to work with collegiate and professional athletes including the Stanford University athletics and the San Francisco 49ers. Dr. Beamer was chosen amongst his fellowship class as the sole fellow to serve as assistant team physician for the 49ers, joining the team on the sidelines and helping run the training room at the training facility. Following his education and training Dr. Beamer practiced in Northern California but always longed for a journey back to his birthplace. He is thrilled to be moving back to Montana and will be performing arthroscopic (minimally invasive) surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee for both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Beamer is also highly versed in complex shoulder reconstruction and replacement
