Dr. Justin Schwartzenberger utilizes the latest standards in minimally invasive techniques including bicep endobutton fixation, double- row mattress repair for rotator cuff reconstruction, endoscopic (minimally invasive) carpal tunnel release and suture suspensionplasty for thumb reconstruction negating the use of the patient’s own harvested tendon, which allows for faster recovery times and no casting. He completed his residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine under the guidance of leading shoulder surgeon Dr. Robert Tashjian, where he developed a passion for surgery of the upper extremity. He completed his fellowship training at Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida specializing in the treatment

of shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions including providing microsurgery and arthroscopy. A Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a Subspecialty Certification in Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Schwartzenberger purposefully sought out additional training during fellowship in Florida under the tutelage of Dr. Mark Frankle and Dr. Mark Mighell, renowned thought leaders in shoulder and elbow surgery. He completes over 500 surgical cases annually, mostly comprised of shoulder arthroscopy for instability, labrum and rotator cuff repairs, elbow and wrist nerve release surgeries, carpal tunnel release and fractures. Dr. Schwartzenberger is a Butte, Montana native. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with

High Honors from Montana State University in Biomedical Sciences and attended medical school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Jefferson Medical College. His nuanced training helps him provide the most up-to-date and advanced care for his patients. Dr. Schwartzenberger is a licensed physician in Utah, Florida and Montana. He joined Bridger Orthopedic as an Upper Extremity Specialist in 2017, is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), and is currently a member of the Quality & Peer Review Committee at Bozeman Health. He and his team continually work to provide the highest quality care at Bridger Orthopedics West Bozeman Campus whether non- operative or operative treatment is necessary.
