The success of big events relies on attendance. Attendance is driven by curiosity in the big event itself, as well as additional elements. These can include hospitality and other smaller community events, such as street parties. Additional elements help to create Social Buzz around the big event. In order to attract attendees and ensure they have a positive experience, it is vital they know What’s On . For example, attendees would like to know what they can expect to see and experience while attending the event; where they can go to watch the event; and where they can go to find essential services, such as hospitality and toilets.

How Target the audience before the event

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to advertising an event. Audiences differ in what information they want, as well as where they get this information from. Some audiences, such as older people, or people with mobility issues, might require additional Co-created Physical Activity Opportunities to support their engagement.
