In light of the COVID-19 pandemic that has been causing numerous health care facilities to shut down, we as medical professionals are diligently trying to serve our patients in the best ways possible without risking the spread of this disease. Because of this, Tele-Rehabilitation services are the best possible option for us at this time. By providing care for our patients virtually, as opposed to in person, we are able to keep both our patients and PT providers safe. For more information on our Tele-Rehabilitation services and how they may benefit you, feel free to call us at (705) 728-9333, schedule a Tele-Rehab appointment with our website chatbot, OR go to our Tele- Rehab appointment page link to schedule your virtual appointment! What Is Tele–Rehabilitation? Youmay be wondering what exactly Tele-Rehabilitation is. Essentially, it is a way for us to make sure that our patients are still receiving the highest possible quality of care they need from a remote location. Tele–Rehab services can be accessed via your smartphone, tablet, or computer, and you will be able to perform your PT treatments from the comfort of your own home during this quarantine. You will also be able to track your progress and see how you are improving throughout your treatments – without coming directly to our clinic. At Concept of Movement, our Tele–Rehab services offer live consultation where you can meet and chat with your physiotherapist about your treatment plan.

There are numerous conditions that can still be treated and improved via Tele-Rehabilitation services, including, but not limited to: • Arthritis pain • Back pain • Headaches/migraines • Post-surgical rehab • Respiratory issues • Sports medicine/athletic training • Fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s Disease, and other chronic conditions • Injury rehab • And much more In addition to allowing for the practice of social distancing, Tele–Rehabilitation also has other benefits. As stated by the CanadianAllianceof PhysiotherapyRegulatorsand theCollege of Physiotherapists of Ontario, just a few of these include: • Tele-Rehabilitation may be appropriate if you cannot easily attend an in-person visit or live in a remote area. • You can expect to receive the same safe, quality care that you would get during an in-person visit. The College expects physiotherapists tomeet the same standards of practice regardless of how the services are delivered. • Platforms or services used for tele-rehabilitation must be confidential and meet PHIPA requirements.
