a boosted presence on its Find a Trusted Tradesperson tool. Updates include a more streamlined, user- friendly experience for specifiers and residential customers, with NICEIC-certified businesses also now able to showcase their credentials. A key addition is the introduction of dedicated profile pages for every NICEIC-certified business listed on the platform. These pages provide specifiers and consumers with clear information about a contractor’s certifications and services, while also offering direct options to call, email or message contractors at the touch of a button. Specifiers and consumers can share contractor profiles with family, friends or colleagues, making it easier to recommend trusted businesses and support decision-making on projects requiring electrical expertise. To further highlight experience and commitment to quality, the tool now displays certification anniversary badges indicating the length of time businesses have maintained their certification with NICEIC. www.niceic.com/find-a-tradesperson

Ireland’s government is developing a White Paper charting the country’s electrification path with a framework for future policy development, legislation and investment. All stakeholders, including private companies, are invited to collaborate as the government aims to outline Ireland’s path to an electrified energy future based on clean, secure affordable electricity. Development of the White Paper, which will encompass electricity generation, transmission, distribution and regulation, was announced by Energy Minister Darragh O’Brien on July 29. The model through which Ireland will seek to achieve net zero by 2050, the White Paper will examine risks, scenarios, supply and demand, the grid and governance. It will identify and evaluate the policy choices available to government over the period to 2050. “Ireland’s energy transition represents a momentous opportunity for us all, to help make our economy and industries more efficient and competitive, to open new opportunities for businesses, and create tangible benefits for our communities across Ireland,” said the Minister. www.gov.ie Ireland to map electrified future
