More than 370 industry professionals attended the 2026 lunch, raising more than £40,000 for the charity. The Electric Lunch is organised by EIC’s NI Committee, chaired by Ireland’s Electrical Magazine Managing Director Karen McAvoy. EIC’s support services cover physical, financial and emotional wellbeing including mental health support, addiction, bereavement counselling, legal advice, advocacy, CV support following redundancy and job loss, psychiatric assessments and emergency financial assistance. Further local fundraising events include the NI Electrical Industries Charity Shield seven-a-side football tournament held annually in May.

RESERVE A TABLE FOR THE FUNDRAISING EVENT AT THE INTERCONTINENTAL DUBLIN ON NOVEMBER 20, FEATURING POPULAR TRIBUTE ACT ABBAESQUE… IEBA Winter Ball 2026

Irish Electrical Benevolent Association (IEBA) is set to host a night to remember as it marks a quarter century of supporting families across Ireland’s electrical industry. Ireland’s number-one ABBA tribute act, ABBAesque, will keep guests on their feet at the IEBA Winter Ball in the InterContinental Dublin on November 20. Tables are filling fast for the black-tie evening welcoming friends, colleagues and industry partners for celebration, networking and support for the charity, with last year’s event raising close to €40,000. Established in 2001, IEBA was founded on a simple but powerful belief that those who dedicate their lives to the electrical industry should never face personal hardship alone. What began

as a commitment to support colleagues in need has grown into a trusted pillar of compassion within Ireland’s electrical community.

Behind every grant approved is a story - a household regaining stability, a family given breathing space, a worker able to focus on recovery rather than mounting bills. IEBA’s approach is practical, measured and responsible. The level of assistance required is carefully assessed and paid directly towards essential expenses, ensuring that support delivers immediate and tangible relief. Over the last 25 years, IEBA has provided confidential financial assistance to those

in need, and their families, during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. All sectors of the industry are included from retail and distribution to contracting and wholesaling. A table of 10 costs €2,600. Reserve yours now by contacting Secretary Aine Higgins: E : aine.higgins@irisheba.ie www.irisheba.ie Want to know more?
