The mid-September harvest at the mid-September Vankleek Hill Farmers’ Market was a real bumper crop of fresh food for sale from local farms in the Glengarry- Prescott-Russell region. Plus de 1100 participants ont pris part à la troisième édition de l’Expo bois et forêt de Riceville, qui avait lieu le 8 septembre dernier, au terrain de la foire de Riceville. « Boisés Est remercie chaleureusement tous ceux et celles qui ont contribué au succès de cet évènement, sans oublier la Société agricole de Riceville, qui nous prête son terrain de foire, a souligné Jean-Claude Havard, coordonnateur de Bois et Forêt/Wood & Forest. Les préparatifs pour Bois et Forêt 2020 sont commencés. » Selon M. Havard, 120 lots de bois ont été vendu lors d’un encan qui avait lieu lors de l’évènement. —photo fournie
