Board of Trustees Meeting Agenda | February 2019

codify the importance of faculty involvement in budget conversations at all levels of the institution- from departments to colleges to the University as a whole.

Conclusion:

Thank you for the opportunity to update you on the key projects underway in Faculty Senate. For the sake of brevity, we did not go into detail of the phenomenal work of all of our committees, but our work extends greatly beyond the projects in this report. Across the many initiatives and day-to-day participation in the governance of the institution, Faculty Senate aims to contribute to increased retention and improved academic experience of students at Central, to enhance faculty morale and build a culture of trust, and to continue to strengthen shared governance. We remain hopeful about the opportunities to continue to facilitate direct dialogue between faculty and the Board of Trustees. We appreciate the willingness of the Board to make time for meetings with faculty and for genuinely embracing faculty concerns.

If there are any questions about any of the activities listed above or any questions related to the Faculty Senate, I am more than happy to address them.

Respectfully Submitted
