Un défilé à Embrun exquis pour les yeux EMBRUN | Plus de 40 chars allégoriques ont participé au dé!lé du père Noël d’Em- brun, le samedi 29 novembre dernier. Et ils étaients nombreux, les petits et les grands, à s’aligner le long des rues a!n de voir arriver, à la toute !n, le vrai père Noël... Organisé cette année par les pompiers d’Embrun, le dé!lé a une fois de plus attiré des centaines de badauds. Cette année, les pompiers ont invité gratuitement tous ceux qui désiraient participer au cortège. Chaque participant avait pris soin d’illuminer son char et de l’habiller de ses plus beaux atours. La bonne humeur régnait et l’excitation est montée lorsque, fermant la marche, le vrai père Noël est arrivé. Il a souhaité à tous un très Joyeux Noël. Le dé!lé du père Noël d’Embrun ouvre ainsi la porte aux suivants, celui de Limoges, ce samedi, à 18h, et celui de Casselman, dimanche, à 17h.
The Santa Claus parade visits Russell RUSSELL | The jolly old elf himself was the highlight of the Santa Claus Parade held in Russell on Sunday, November 30. The parade had 41 judged entries and an additional 11 that were not judged for a total of 52. It was the largest parade in the history of the Russell Santa Claus Parade. There were three categories. Most Festive was won by the 1st Russell Girl Guides, Brownies and Sparks. Most Creative was won by the Russell Association for the Perform- ing Arts and Best Group or Organization was won by the 5th Cyclone Squadron Air Cadets marching band. There were plenty of #oats from area businesses and music from the Russell Men’s Choir. The Russell !re!ghters and Lions Club organized the parade, with the Lions providing judges during the event and the cookies and hot chocolate for vis- its with Santa after the parade ended. Hundreds of spectators lined Concession Street on a pleasantly mild, overcast day. The many young families in attendance enjoyed the parade, which featured a dancing turkey and a #oat complete with rental toilets among more traditional entries. (CV)
