KC WOLF Kansas City Chiefs Mascot

Q: What do you like about Winter? A: Mascots love Winter because we don’t sweat nearly as much. KC Wolf likes December games much more than the preseason games that are played in August. Q: What is your favorite Winter activity to do in Kansas City? A: My wife and I have 3 children (KC Wolf and his 3 Little Pigs) and we enjoy sledding in the snow and ice skating down at Crown Center. After that we go get hot chocolate with marshmallows. Q: What is your favorite holiday memory or tradition, and why? A: We have a very strange holiday tradition at my house called “The Frozen Bun Fun Run” that takes place every Christmas morning. Every year my kids get me a pair of boxer shorts for Christmas. It’s not a surprise gift because every year I know I’m going to get a pair of boxer shorts. My son also gets a pair of boxers. The only surprise is what is going to be on our boxer shorts. Over the years we have received boxers with everything from Superman, Batman, Homer Simpson, Flash Gordon, Elf and Yoda just to name a few. On Christmas morning we gather around the tree, read the Christmas story and then we unwrap our gifts. Once the gifts are all unwrapped my two daughters go upstairs to put on their swimming suits. My son and I go put on our new Christmas boxers and then we all gather back in the kitchen for the annual Frozen Bun Fun Run. The Frozen Bun Fun Run consists of running one time around the outside of our house, barefoot in the snow, with nothing on but our new Christmas boxers and swimsuits. Thankfully the run only takes about 45 seconds because it is usually extremely cold outside on Christmas morning. I’m not real sure how this Christmas tradition got started at my house, but we have been doing it since 2006. Over the years we have made some great family memories and we have lots of fun pictures which have provided us with lots of laughs. ^
