In not the glorious one spoken of so frequently by the prophets In such glowing terms, but it Is the one m®“ ’ tloned by Zephanlah In *:1 ht" prophecy: a regathering w i t h o u t “ shame" or, as in the margin, l°ng- lng.” This very prediction Is being fulfilled before our eyes. According to Romans eleven the Jews, the natural branches, were broken off because of their unbelief, and we Gentiles, the wild branches, were grafted In on account of our faith; "and they also, if they continue not In their unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God Is able to graft them in again.” Though the Jew, *as a nation, is still in unbelief, it Is a well known fact that that extreme bitterness and antagonism which has characterized him through the centur ies has softened considerably and there Is on the part of an ever-increasing number, the willingness to listen to the claims of Jesus If they are pre sented Intelligently and In love. Num bers of them are secret believers in Jesus as the Jewish Messiah, and there is a longing on the part of many others for the coming of their Messiah. Just such a longing as this Is, seems to be the thing to which Jesus referred when He said, “ Ye shall not see me hence forth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh In the name of the Lord. Friends, the truths referred to and quoted in this paragraph, together with the present day events and the attitude of Jews toward their Messiah, lead us to believe that Jewish evangel ization Is of the greatest Importance. “ He that hath ears to hear, let him Prayer and Diligence Necessary to Success in the Work Jewish work is a failure unless It Is backed up by a‘ volume of prayer made In absolute faith by people who know God. Those praying and those doing the actual work must abide In the Vine and draw strength and power from Jesus, for apart from Him one can do nothing. Hence, may we'-not ask all who know God to Intercede dally for our work that God may use us In tak ing this message of Life to the Chosen people. Jewish work Is hard and trying on one’s patience, but it pays from every point of view. Diligence and perse- verence are the things that count. Pray that we may ever be about our Father’s business while It Is called today.

program, the Gospel to the Jew first, was strictly observed. In the Gentile section of the book we see that Paul always kept this same program in mind. When he arrived at any place he first sought out the Jews and gave them ample opportunity of hearing the Gospel and either of accepting it or of rejecting it. So far as the revelation of God is concerned, He has never changed this program. If we are going to follow Apostolic precedent and be scriptural in our work, we shall have to follow the same example of giving the Gospel first to the Jew and then, if he rejects it, turn to the Gentiles. A failure to give the Jew his place in the plan of God may account for many of the fail ures of the Church throughout the centuries. Jewish Evangelization of Paramount •importance Today In addition to the fact that it is the will of God that the Gospel should be given to the Jew first, there is this further consideration that makes it imperative that we, as never before, give the Gospel to the Jew, i.e., "the times of the Gentiles" are at a close, as seems very evident, and the time for God to begin to deal with Israel is very close at hand. In the Olivet dis course. as recorded in Luke 21.24, Jesus said, “ And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive Into all the nations; and Jeru salem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the .times of the Gen tiles be fulfilled.” . From this passage we learn two facts: (1 ) Jerusalem was to be trodden down during the times of the Gentiles; (2 ) Gentile dominion over Jerusalem and “ the times of the Gentiles" are coterminous. Present day events indicate that we have reached that time or are about to reach it. It Is known to all that the League of Nations has promised Pal estine to the Jews for their national home, and that, the Jews are going back there at the rate of several hun dred every month.
