National Recycling Coalition Awards Green Bay Packaging The National Recycling Coalition (NRC) honored their recycling awards recipients at their Virtual 2020 Annual Members Meeting. The awards were digitally presented to the winners through Zoom. The annual awards program is designed to honor and recognize outstanding individuals, programs, and organizations around the country, both for their achievements, and to serve as a model and a resource for learning for NRC members. Green Bay Packaging was awarded outstanding busi- ness Leadership in the for-profit category. Green Bay Packaging’s containerboard mill in Green Bay is a fully integrated pulp and paper mill that pro- duces linerboard and corrugated medium in the full spectrum of basis weights using 100 percent post-con- sumer recycled fiber. In its efforts to close the loop on OCC and mixed paper, the company promotes sustainability through resource conservation, pollu-

tion prevention, recycling, responsible forestry, energy conservation, waste reduction and a closed loop in the water system. FTA Europe Hopes For Standardized Flexo Press Test FTA Europe is inviting flexo printers to be part of its project on developing a standardized test form that checks the quality of flexo printing presses. “We would like flexo machine operators to com- plete a short survey,” the association said, “that takes no longer than five minutes to complete, answering questions related to their machinery and the checks they currently perform. The results of this survey will help the project team to pin down the most important aspects for a new standardized, European test form.” A standardized test form for printers will help to compare the quality of different presses, evaluating technical features, detecting defects, and verifying out- put quality. “Our team of experts includes all the key machine suppliers in Europe,” said the association, “as well as printers and flexo experts. We need the input from printers across Europe in order to design a test form that best suits their needs.”
