Lions love their Christmas craft fair tradition
Demmery grins when he thinks about the volume of business the craft fair could do if the Lions had weekend access to the main floor arena space. “We would triple in number of tables,” he said. Demmery has managed the annual craft fair for the past 15 years, the latest Lion to take charge of the event since the club took it on 30 years ago. “And that’s a story in itself,” he said. “There was a local group of artists and crafters doing it before us until it got too hard for them. They asked us (Lions) to take it over and we just jumped at it. It was another way to get involved in the community.”

Rockland | It’s been a source of pride for the Lions Club tradition for three decades now and if Bill Demmery and his fellow Li- ons have anything to say about it then the annual Christmas Craft Fair will remain a club tradition for many more years to come. The last full weekend of November saw the mezzanine at the Jean-Marc Lalonde Arena packed full of more than two doz- en artisans’ tables and a regular crowd of browsers and buyers weaving their way around the room.

Stationnement interdit sur une voie publique entre 1 h et 7 h - 45 $ Stationnement – encombrement avec enlèvement de la neige - 55 $ Étant résidents et automobilistes, soyez attentif des prévisions météorologiques locales. Les interdictions de stationner demeurent en vigueur tous les soirs, par la suite, jusqu’à ce que les opérations de déneigement soient terminées. La Cité de Clarence-Rockland demande votre collaboration afin d’enlever tout objet encombrant (paniers de basketball, filets de hockey, etc.) qui est installé sur les emprises de chemins publics (incluent les voies publiques (rue), les boulevards, et les trottoirs appartenant à la Cité). Ceci facilitera les opérations de déneigement, la collecte des ordures ménagères et le passage de véhicules d’urgence, etc. Tout encombrement sera enlevé et disposé en conséquence.
The City of Clarence-Rockland requests your collaboration to remove any cumbersome objects (i.e. basketball nets, hockey nets, etc.) which are installed within public road allowances (City owned property including roadways, boulevards and sidewalks). This will facilitate the operations of snow clearing, household refuse collection and the passage of emergency vehicles, etc. Any encumbrance will be removed and disposed of accordingly.
OVERNIGHT WINTER PARKING
Winter overnight parking regulations are in effect throughout the city from November 15 to April 1 . The objective is to permit the snow removal from our streets and roads so you may travel safely. This means that you cannot park on City streets between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Vehicles that remain parked on the street during an overnight parking restriction will be ticketed.
