Christmas Market Success in Cumberland CUMBERLAND | Local residents and many people from the city visited the Christmas Farmers’ Market held Saturday, December 1 in Cumberland at St. Andrew’s United Church Hall and R.J. Kennedy Community Centre and arena. Meanwhile at the Cumberland Lions Club Maple Hall children and adults enjoyed breakfast with Santa. The day’s events started at 8 a.m. and the market went until 4 p.m. Vendors’ tables had shoppers vying for space so they could get those unique presents purchased. Farmer’s Market committee has organized a Christmas Market and members were very pleased with the turnout. During the warmer months a regular mar- ket is also held Saturdays at the arena with about 40 vendors, in addition to special fundraising and cultural events.
