MEET OUR TEAM Amy L. Foreman Publisher EDITORIAL
Five editions ago, Faces & Places® began with a simple idea: celebrate the people and businesses that make our communities stronger. Today, that vision has grown into something far more meaningful. Each edition becomes another chapter in the story of the communities we proudly serve, preserving the people, passions, and places that deserve to be remembered. What you’ll find inside these pages isn’t just a collection of profiles. It’s a snapshot of a community at this moment in time. You’ll meet entre- preneurs chasing dreams, families building lasting legacies, organiza- tions creating positive change, and businesses that have become trusted cornerstones. Together, these stories remind us that every community is shaped by people who choose to invest their time, talent, and heart into making it better. Our team approaches every issue with one goal in mind: to create something worthy of keeping. From the photography and design to every carefully written story, each page is thoughtfully crafted to become more than a magazine. We hope it’s something you’ll display, revisit, and share with family and friends for years to come. Producing Faces & Places® is one of the most rewarding projects we create each year because it allows us to shine a light on the people who often don’t ask for recognition but certainly deserve it. Their stories inspire us, strengthen connections, and remind us that thriving commu- nities are built one relationship at a time. To everyone who opened their doors, shared their story, supported this publication, and continues to believe in the value of local storytell- ing, thank you. Your willingness to be part of this project is what makes each edition special. As you turn these pages, I hope you discover someone new, recon- nect with familiar faces, and gain an even greater appreciation for the community you call home. Thank you for making Faces & Places® part of your story. Enjoy the Fifth Edition. The Stories That Shape Our Community

P otty training is one of child hood’s biggest ``milestones... and one of parenting’s mess- iest. Between bulky potty bowls, constantly cleaning removable seats, and cluttered bathrooms, many parents quickly realize that most potty-train- ing products create almost as many problems as they solve. That’s exactly why myKidzy was created. More than 35 years ago, father of three and grand- father of seven, Rick Block, found himself deep in the potty-training stage with his young son and frus- trated by the options on the market. Preparing for a family trip, he couldn’t imagine dragging around a germy potty bowl everywhere they went. So he cre- ated a simpler solution: a Toilet Topper that helped kids learn directly on the toilet without the mess, clutter, or hassle of traditional potty-training seats. After years off the market, Rick brought myKidzy back when his grandchildren reached potty-training age and he realized something surprising: parents were still struggling with the same problems. Today, many potty-training systems are oversized, difficult to clean, and take over the bathroom. Removable toddler seats have to be handled con- stantly, stored somewhere between uses, and often end up on the floor — exactly where parents don’t want them. Built-in step stool seats can be bulky, dif- ficult for adults to use comfortably, and change the look and function of the bathroom, myKidzy takes a different approach. The myKidzy Toilet Topper installs in seconds to vir- tually any toilet lid — no tools required. Its durable adhesive design allows parents to move and reuse it again and again, whether at home, at grandparents’ houses, or while traveling. Most importantly, the topper requires minimal han- dling during everyday use. Unlike removable potty seats that parents or children must touch, lift, and store after every bathroom trip, myKidzy automat- ically lifts out of the way with the toilet lid for adult use. When it’s time for little ones to go, simply lower the Topper and the child-sized seat is ready. The result is a cleaner, clutter-free bathroom experi- ence that helps children feel confident using the “big toilet” from the very beginning. To make potty training even more fun and teaches portion control. myKidzy also offers potty training toilet paper featuring playful trains and animal designs that help encourage independence and excitement around bathroom routines. Even better, myKidzy is proudly local, with a 12-mile supply chain based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Designed by a parent, refined by a grandparent, and loved by families, myKidzy helps simplify one of parenting’s biggest transitions, without the mess, germs, or bathroom clutter.
