2. LTE Group LTE group has been created in response to the unique challenges facing our sector. With the changing landscape of further education, we are focused on changing the way we work to allow us to better respond to the skills requirements and economic needs of our communities. Through LTE group we are able to support and shape the development of how education and skills are delivered at a local, regional and national level. LTE group is the first integrated education and skills group of its kind and the largest social enterprise in the country dedicated to learning, training and employment. With around 5,000 colleagues in 120 locations, and more than 100,000 students and learners, the group reflects the combined strengths and services of our four leading organisations: • The Manchester College - The Manchester College is one of the largest FE colleges in the UK, with 23,000 students and 1,700 staff. The College is the largest provider of 16-19 and adult education in Greater Manchester, with more than 25% of Greater Manchester’s learning provision undertaken by the College.
• Total People - work-based learning, apprenticeships and training provider.
• Novus - UK’s largest national justice sector training and education specialist.
• MOL - national provider of online and blended professional training, qualifications and accreditations.
• UCEN Manchester - delivering technical and professional higher level skills from levels 4 to 7 to meet the priorities of Greater Manchester and the wider region
Our Group structure enables each organisation to be focused on its own learners, customers, colleagues and stakeholders, supported by the professional shared services that operate directly within LTE group. It offers the potential for expansion and further growth.
