JOB PURPOSE:

Lead and deliver the Estates Strategy/Campus Redevelopment Plan.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as Project Sponsor for the Estates Strategy

• Deliver the agreed Estates Strategy and ensure it is in line with the strategic objectives of the College

• Lead the current College’s estates/facilities management teams and put in place effective management arrangements for the new estate

• Understand the curriculum needs and demands in order to deliver an outstanding learning environment for students

• Work with the Vice Principals and Assistant Principals within the College to understand curriculum changes and interdependencies, and the people change plan required as a result of the Strategy

• Lead the external advisory team, ensuring that they fulfil the scope of their contracted service and deliver value for money to meet the needs of the College

• Work with the public affairs and external communications team to deliver an external stakeholder plan

• Maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external business partners and proactively manage any issues that arrive

• Ensure full collaboration and consultation and ‘sign-off’ with internal stakeholders on design and delivery of the Estates Strategy and work with the internal communications team to deliver the Communications Strategy

• Lead the transition into the new and temporary buildings to ensure the student experience is maintained at a high level

• Ensure that decisions taken are in line with the agreed scheme of delegation from the Board of Governors through to end users and that the audit trail is in place

• Deliver the Estates Strategy to the agreed budget in partnership with the finance team and the external appointed cost consultant

• Ensure that the Estates Strategy delivers the agreed revenue expenditure savings

• Ensure the Estates Strategy delivers the effective and efficient use of resources and the estate and that utilisation increases

• Prepare draft presentations to the Investment and Estates Strategy Group and the Board of Governors

• Ensure the change and project plans in place provide the information necessary to track and deliver the Estates Strategy
