CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
GOLDEN AVENUE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
The existing Golden Avenue Bridge is being replaced with a new two-lane bridge featuring sidewalks, bike lanes, a striped median, hand railings, and related grading, drainage, utility, and roadway improvements. Construction began in February 2026 and is anticipated to be completed in October 2026. The project is funded through Measure U, the Highway Bridge Program (HBP), and Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending (CPFCDS).
Pavement improvements are planned for approximately 667,000 square feet of residential streets in the northwestern portion of the City, generally between Bastanchury Road and Yorba Linda Boulevard, and Kraemer Boulevard and the west City limit. Work also includes minor sidewalk, curb, and gutter improvements. Construction is anticipated to begin in August 2026 and be completed in November 2026, pending City Council approval. The project will be funded through Measure U and Gas Tax/SB1 revenues. FY 2026–27 RESIDENTIAL STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT
New curb ramps will be installed along Livingston Avenue between Tuffree Boulevard and Kraemer Boulevard to improve accessibility, along with removal and replacement of damaged sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. Construction is anticipated to take place between September and November 2026, pending City Council approval. The project will be funded through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
