Skills, knowledge, and experience • Bachelor’s degree or substantial relevant experience. (Essential) • Master’s Degree, or equivalent. (Desirable) • Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. RIBA, RICS. (Desirable) • Project management qualification. (Desirable) • Comprehensive demonstrable space management experience in a similar organisation. (Essential) • Ability to analyse a problem and clearly present drawings and data to make a compelling argument. (Essential) • Experience of analysing space data, making and presenting compelling recommendations for improvements and seeing those recommendations through to realisation. (Essential) • Ability to engage with and influence senior colleagues. (Essential) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Essential) • Experience with and understanding of an Integrated Workplace Management/CAFM System. (Essential) • Experience of using BIM for data management. (Essential) • Excellent IT skills, including AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and an IWM/CAFM System. (Essential) • Ability to use and understand Microsoft Power BI. (Desirable) • Experience of managing budgets. (Essential) • Experience of managing and motivating others. (Essential) Proven Experience • The successful candidate will evidence a track record of successfully leading the development and implementation of space and workplace strategies at a senior and influential level, ideally in a Higher Education context. (Essential) • Experience of change management and of defining new ways of working. (Essential) • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience of working with complex data sets for the purpose of modelling in support of option appraisals. (Essential) • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development and developing an extensive professional network. (Essential) • Experience of policy and strategy development within a similar scale or larger organisation. (Essential) • Experience of developing business cases with supporting feasibility/ options appraisals. (Essential)
