EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS 2 ADVANCEMENTS NEW

Katie & Ryan Anderson MINNESOTA Believe in Building Your Business

In April, Katie double advanced to Executive Director 2. A small-town Minnesota girl believed in herself, her team, the leadership, the company, and the products enough to make bold moves that changed her life and the lives of the people she helped. In February, Katie and Executive Director 4 Leah Melquist, decided to create something they call the double Executive Director camp. The plan was to turn anyone who was willing into leaders capable of making a difference. “At the beginning of the month, we just made a list of everyone who said, ‘I’m all in—let’s do this!’” Katie says. They met with each person who was ready to step it up and focused on their goals. “We had a very, very strong vision and purpose behind what it was that they wanted to do for their families in 30 days.” It is so important to Katie to take the belief that she has in her team, the leadership, the company, and the products and instill that belief in others until they find it in themselves. Take for example Seanna Smart. Katie sat down with Seanna, a Director 7 at the time, and created a game plan for enabling Seanna to reach her goal—Senior Director. Together, they went over how many new Directors Seanna needed, who they could sit down with, and who they could tap into to find mutually beneficial business success. Seanna double advanced to Director 9 after following the plan she and Katie made. “There’s no better feeling as a leader than to build other leaders and see them grow, develop, and help their people and just see them coming into their own,” Katie says. “If you focus on helping other people win here, you will absolutely change your family’s life and financial outlook. I have no doubt.”

Katie Anderson’s Melaleuca journey started with a great deal of skepticism. How could all the positives she was told about Melaleuca possibly be true? For those recovering from a background in multilevel marketing, the doubt can run deep. Far too often, promises about products and income end up being little more than illusions. “The company we had been with suddenly just crumbled,” she says. “Next thing you know, it was gone. In one day.” For Katie, believing in her ability to build a Melaleuca business required effort, reassurance from trusted mentors, and experience. “I needed to know that a small-town Minnesota girl who comes from law enforcement could win just as much as the person who has been in the industry for 30 years,” she explains. “I started with the products—fell in love with the products. Then I dug into the company.” Katie caught Melaleuca’s vision. “I started to really understand the company wasn’t just blowing smoke,” she says. “It is truly here for a lifetime, and I’m going to be able to pass my business down to my kids someday.”

“To help these families that are so deserving and have worked so hard and are so consistent is amazing,” Katie says. “They deserve it more than anything.”
