EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS 2 ADVANCEMENTS NEW
Christopher & Breana Borchers CALIFORNIA Shift Your Mindset and Success Will Follow
As Breana explains it, “I told my enroller, National Director 9 Kimberly McCauley, ‘I’m not coming back next year as a Senior Director. I’m coming back as an Executive Director!’ Kim is one of my best friends, and now she tells me she thought I was crazy, but here I am a year later, and I’m an Executive Director 2.” That growth required Breana to make a change. “It was really a mindset shift,” she explains. “I kept telling myself that I’m a Senior Director. I can run a Senior Director business. And then I just put my head down and got to work until I hit my goals. If you believe in yourself and make the commitment to do the Seven Critical Business-Building Activities, the results will come.” As her mindset shifted, so did the purpose behind her Melaleuca business. “At first, my why was pulling my family out from being underwater—being able to breathe and live,” Breana says. “Now it’s become about helping as many families as I can do the same. I can’t explain the feeling when you have a new business partner open their first check in tears because they needed that $500 to feed their kids and keep their electricity on or to put Christmas gifts under the tree. I know that feeling. I remember it like it was yesterday, and I will never forget it.”
In late 2017, things were pretty bleak for the Borchers. They were getting by with the help of government assistance. Breana had just been denied a raise she worked hard for as a licensed esthetician. She and her husband barely saw each other beyond saying “hi” as they passed on their way to work. They felt exhausted all the time. And their youngest child was only four weeks old. “He would scream for me as I left him in child care, and it killed me,” Breana recalls. Finally, Christopher told her to quit her job and they would just figure it out. Breana had been terrified of quitting before, but this time it felt different. “I knew God had a plan,” she says. “I trusted him and we found Melaleuca a few weeks later.” As a cancer survivor and mom of three, Breana quickly fell in love with Melaleuca’s extensive line of wellness products. “When I started, it was all about helping people get better products in their homes,” she says. “I’ve always been passionate about avoiding toxic chemicals in the products we use and the things we eat.” And while her passion for the products was real, she wasn’t seeing the growth in her business that she wanted. As she left Convention 2019 as a Director 7, she made a commitment.
Melaleuca has been so life changing for our family,” Breana says. “We have incredible products—there’s nothing like them on the market! We are blessed to make money by sharing them and helping others to do the same.”
