SILENCING THE FIRE PANEL ALARM AND RESET SYSTEM SILENCING THE FIRE PANEL ALARM AND RESETTING THE SYSTEM CAN ONLY BE DONE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT Confirm the directions below are applicable to your life safety equipment. If necessary, adjust the
steps as may be required for your specific equipment. 1. Push ALARM ACKNOWLEDGE (top button on left) 2. Push AUDIBLE SILENCE (2 nd button down on left) 3. Push RESET (bottom button on left)
** IMPORTANT **
Approval by the Fire Department is mandatory before the Fire Panel Alarm can be reset. • After resetting the system, STAY BY THE PANEL in case another concern has been detected or if a fault with a sensor will not allow the system to reset (fire-head or control failure). • Look at the digital display panel for instructions. If the alarm is activated again, follow Step One and Step Two but not Step Three. This will silence the alarm but keep it on line without reactivating the horns. IF FOR ANY REASON THE ALARM SYSTEM IS SHUTOFF, A FIRE WATCH PERSON MUST BE IN PLACE WITHIN THE HOTEL TO PATROL ALL FLOORS AND AREAS. AFTER THE FIRE EMERGENCY IS UNDER CONTROL • All Associates will assist guests if the Fire Department determines it is safe to return to their rooms. • GM/MOD/Department Heads will refer to the Recovery Playbook (see addendum) and follow recommended recovery procedures. • All Managers and designated Associates are to assist with clean-up operations. • GM/MOD is to memorialize the incident with photo documentation, incident reports, and all other requested information. Refer to CLAIMS REPORTING section.
