Helen MacLeod has given 25 years of service to the Champlain Town Council. Living in L’Orignal since 1975, she was elected to council in 1989. MacLeod works as a local real estate agent, volunteers with a variety of local groups, and is director for the Ontario Heritage Trust. MacLeod will be honoured at the Ontario Eastern conference inOctober. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years,” said MacLeod. “It’s gone by so fast.”
