EVANGELISTIC NOTICES G eorge B ennard , Albion, Mich., author of “ The Old Rugged Cross” and other gospel songs, was scheduled to hold evan gelistic services from March 31 to April 12 at the First Baptist Church of Albion, Mich., with Hannah A. Dahlstrom, the Swedish gospel singer and pianist, as assist ant in the services. An outstanding feature of Mr. Bennard’s meetings is a stereopticon lecture which he brings on the subject of “An Evening with the Sacred Poets” and “The Story of the Old Rugged Cross.” L eonard E ilers , 124 N. Florence Ave., Burbank, Calif., cowboy now “ riding the range for God,” spent most of January, February, and March in Colorado and Wyoming. The Lord is graciously blessing his meetings. At Manderson, Wyo., a lit tle prairie town of only one hundred pop ulation, the attendance from the town and surrounding district averaged about 105. At Powell, Wyo., the largest church was too small, and the services had to move into the high school. Mr. Eilers makes a special appeal to the young people and children. At Powell, the children’s attendance reached ISO. One child who came to the meeting was the means of getting a family of four saved and into the church. Mr. Eilers is expecting to spend May, June, and July in the states of Washington and Oregon. F. B ertram M iller , Beulah Beach, Ohio, for the past year has been engaged in Bible teaching and evangelistic campaigns mainly in eastern and central states. He has con ducted meetings at Tiffin, Dover, and Youngstown, Ohio; Detroit and Clawson, Mich.; Clarksburg and Morgantown, W. Va., and Lapel, Ind. He assisted in a two- months’ foreign missionary convention tour of northwestern Pennsylvania as Bible teacher and evangelist of the party, and served in the same capacity in a similar tour in Ohio. Recent and prospective cam paigns include meetings in the following Ohio localities: Cleveland, Mansfield, Nor walk, Canton, and Sandusky, and probably the Pacific Northwest. T he W m . F. R awlins E vangelistic P arty recently closed two series of evangel istic meetings, at Sunbury, Ohio, and at Sykesville, Pa. The Holy Spirit wonder fully led in the salvation of over one hundred souls in the meetings for adults. The children’s work has been commended highly by the pastors of the churches served. Ninety boys and girls accepted Christ as their Saviour, and many young people defi nitely consecrated their lives for His blessed service. The evangelists brought inspiring messages in several high schools. In one of these schools, five young boys received Christ, and over one hundred pupils accepted the gift of a Gospel of John. The Rawlins Party ask an interest in prayer as they go from place to place with their “ Good News Special” bus, preaching the gospel. Their

Rice, the editor, has received hun dreds of letters which have come frofti .every state in the Union. Mr. Rice, a Christian business man, who, with his wife, brings exceptional ability to the task of selecting and arranging material which Christian readers find helpful, gives all the glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for the enthusiastic response which the work has received. In conversation in the editorial offices of T he K ing ’ s B usiness , he explained, “ All our work has been drenched with prayer”—and the tone of his publications establishes the truth of the statement. The Word of God is the basis and boun dary for the treatises of spiritual import which comprise the forty-eight pages of The Threshing Floor —a symposium on doctrine, prophecy, science, and archeology of the Bible. The material is presented in com pact, readable style. It is not intended that the reader shall agree with the opinions expressed in each contribution; but every article is designed to produce thought and study of the Word. The Good News Letter, an artistically mimeographed twelve-page booklet, is writ ten with a view to appealing especially to the unsaved. Illustrated with original draw ings, the Letter exalts the Lord Jesus Christ in every paragraph. Skeptical friends will wish to read such compelling articles as “Jonah— a Whale of a Fish Story” which appeared in the April number. Further announcement of these two pop ular periodicals appears on this page.
