LIGNOSIL ® VERANO MINERAL GRAYING STAIN FOR EXTERIOR WOOD
MINERAL THE NEW WAY TO TREAT WOOD
Lignosil® Verano is for non-film
decoration and the protection of
exterior wood cladding.
Introducing Lignosil® Verano, the innovative
way to enhance and protect wood cladding
without film-building acrylics. KEIM, the
renowned developer of durable mineral silicate
solutions for concrete and masonry, has
innovated deeply penetrating mineral stains for
wood, revolutionizing wood protection and
aesthetics.
Achieve the desirable look of aged wood
instantly with Lignosil Verano mineral graying
stain. When left unprotected, wood naturally
matures to a silver-gray patina. However, this
process is often inconsistent, resulting in
unsightly variations. Rain and UV exposure
accelerates aging, but now, this natural process
can be replicated and controlled.
Lignosil Verano features purely mineral oxide
pigments that are UV stable, and the mineral
silicate binder screens UV to ensure consistent
and slower aging of the wood, all while
maintaining a beautiful and natural matte flat
appearance. Notably, there is no plastic in
Lignosil Verano. It only contains a sol-silicate
mineral binder. No film or visible layer forms,
allowing the wood to breathe naturally. As a
result, the wood lasts longer, and the gorgeous
mineral color lasts and lasts. The wood
cladding appears natural and pure, as
demonstrated here.

HELPING NATURE ALONG When you're aiming for a natural gray finish, choose Lignosil Verano. Leave the wood unfinished at the top and apply Lignosil Verano color #xxxx below. This will give it an instantly appealing aged appearance that will last for decades. The wood underneath will develop its own beautiful patina or can be easily refreshed with Lignosil Verano, ensuring years of beauty and protection.

ONLY A MATTER OF TIME It's only a matter of time before all wood naturally ages to a silver/gray color due to weather, rain, and UV exposure. Unprotected wood can turn gray unevenly as it is exposed to different elements, which can make once beautiful wood look unsightly, and in a hurry.
HELPING NATURE ALONG Left untreated, wood ages based on exposure to UV, rain and even wind. On the right you can see how this façade is aging irregularly, and some wood may never achieve a silver/gray patina as desired. This challenge is solved with an application of Lignosil Verano just after installation of the wood. The beautiful mineral finish will moderate the natural graying process and hide variations, until a more uniform gray is achieved.

BEAUTIFUL WOOD NOW Above, Lignosil Verano in color 4890 Graphite Gray gives wood a stunning appearance that will remain constant for years and years. At the same time, the wood beneath will be uniformly developing a natural gray appearance. If you love the color now, simply renew the Lignosil Verano every 5 to 10 years to retain its beauty.

NATURE-INSPIRED AGED WOOD COLOR TONES
Lignosil-Verano uses only mineral oxide pigments from nature, which are completely U.V. stable and will not fade or change colors. The natural minerals are particularly well suited to the graying — process and never look artificial. Coupled with a mineral —matte flat finish, the look is always genuine and “natural”, it never looks like a synthetic layer.

Please note the impact of wood species and texture on color. Rough-sawn wood develops more color per coat due to the more porous nature of the wood surface. Spruce wood in the colors at the top is “yellower,” and cedar is a more neutral color here. Photo representation of colors is also limited and varies from monitor to monitor.
