N DECEMBER 2, more than 400 guests gathered at the iconic Fairmont Grand Del Mar to celebrate the 92nd Annual Scripps Candlelight An Unforgettable Evening Scripps supporters celebrate the 92nd Annual Scripps Candlelight Ball O CHARITABLE EVENTS

Ball. Th e elegant event, historically held on the fi rst Saturday in December, marks the start of the holiday philanthropic season and is one of the longest-running galas in the region. Th e bene fi t to support growth and innovation at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla featured festive décor, a gourmet dinner and live entertainment, all illuminated by the golden glow of hundreds of fl ickering candles. Th e gala was made possible by premier sponsor Alexandria Real Estate Equities, other gi ft s of sponsorship, underwriting and table and ticket sales. Candlelight Ball is Scripps’ signature event and its tradition dates back to 1930. It’s an opportunity for donors to celebrate a cause that’s near to their hearts and for Scripps to say thank you to the people who give their resources, time and e ff ort to help ensure the organization is able to care for the community for generations to come.
