HOUSE COMPETITION The House competition has continued to be highly competitive and a way for our chess club players to demonstrate their skills to their fellow House members. This competition is enjoyed by the students as it allows boys to play who otherwise do not have the time. The final this year was between Somes and Flower’s. Somes played with commitment but was narrowly defeated by Flower’s. Captain Jordan Yee leaves us this year. I thank Jordan, on behalf of the club, for his leadership, enthusiasm, and encouragement. He has certainly led by example in terms of his support of the boys and his passion for chess. Many thanks to all the boys involved as we look forward to 2023 and welcome any new members.
