Athletics New Zealand National Club Championships No athletes were available for selection in 2022. Canterbury Secondary School Championships Nga¯ Puna Wai, 3–5 November Normally, this event is held at the end of March, however, it was postponed because of Covid-19 Events were held on Thursday and Friday night and on Saturday afternoon. With several other sports commitments, and the Junior production being held, many eligible athletes were unable to compete. Most boys, however, achieved good results and many personal bests. A special mention to AJ Madondo for setting a Canterbury Secondary School record in the triple jump to complement his interclub record set the previous week. AJ Madondo was also recognised as the Outstanding Male Athlete of the Championship. My thanks to the coaches and College staff for their help, and a special acknowledgement to the relay boys who undertook some late call-ups to get teams on the track. They were deservedly rewarded with good results.
