an all-time high. Again we rallied and the boys continued to produce both individual and House success. Surf Life Saving NZ – Southern Region presented Year 10 student Teo Arndt with the Award for Excellence and “Rookie of the Year”. A great result for Teo given his late start to surf life saving this year. Year 12 student Nic Book
headed overseas playing for the NZ U17 Basketball team. Nic had an exceptional tournament and was named in the tournament team. NZ came 3rd to secure a FIBA World Cup berth. Later in the year, he secured a US College scholarship to Oak Hill Academy. We all are watching this young man’s progress with great interest.
House Music is one of the most special nights on the school calendar and this year was no exception. I think the boys were very keen to do well after the previous year where we sang Lonely Boy by The Black Keys brilliantly and were surprised not to win. This year, Bonnie Tyler’s I Need a Hero was the tune and right up to the night, we were
