TTEC 2023 Impact & Sustainability Report

Data collection efforts TTEC operates across multiple countries and regions, managing a diverse portfolio of 70+ sites. Our primary energy source is electricity. We collaborate with landlords to obtain necessary data, while the majority of our data is sourced from utility bills. Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions TTEC’s GHG inventory is consistent with the principles and guidance of the World Resources Institute and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Greenhouse Gas Protocol Initiative (GHG Protocol) for corporate GHG accounting and reporting. TTEC defines its organizational boundary conditions consistent with The GHG Protocol according to the control approach for Scope 1 and Scope 2. This means the scope of TTEC’s organizational boundaries includes locations in the company’s ownership or under its control where they have the responsibility of GHG emissions from these locations. Under the control approach, the operational control criteria is the most appropriate organizational boundary for TTEC because it reflects where they can influence decisions that impact GHG emissions.

Scope 1 TTEC has very limited Scope 1 GHG emissions because our existing real estate portfolio is leased. Scope 2 GHGs are sourced to the production of energy TTEC purchases and uses. For example, the emissions caused when generating the electricity we use in our buildings would fall into this category.
