STAFF SPOTLIGHT McKenzie Karl PTA, BS McKenzie Karl was born in Morgan Hill, California. She is a middle child, with two older sisters and two little brothers. When McKenzie was five, she and her family moved to Chandler, Arizona. While there, she started playing soccer, running competitively, and learning piano and violin. Six years later, her family moved to Rexburg, Idaho where she continued to be involved in sports and music. After graduating from Madison High School in 2012, she chose to attend Brigham Young University Idaho. After one semester of college, McKenzie served a mission for her church in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission. When she returned to Brigham Young University Idaho, a new physical therapist assistant program was being offered at BYU-Idaho. She began the program coursework one year later, and graduated as a licensed physical therapist assistant in December 2016. After graduation she began working in the BYU-Idaho sports medicine program and at Teton Physical Therapy while finishing a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. McKenzie graduated with her bachelor’s degree in December 2017 and is excited to now be working at Ellis Physical Therapy!
