October is always a memorable month on the golf calendar, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the course and some friendly competition as the season moves into its final stretch. This month features several signature events, including the Women’s Solheim Cup, the Women’s 18- and 9- Holers Closing Days, and the Men’s Clover Hill Cup. We’ll also light up the course for the ever- popular Mixed Glow Ball Event, and registration opens for November’s Turkey Shoot. Later in October, scheduled aerification will take place on the North Course greens and tees. Be sure to review the schedule below for event dates, course updates, and everything happening throughout the month. October 2: Women’s Solheim Cup Pairings Party (5:00 p.m.) October 3: Women’s Solheim Cup – Round 1 (10:00 a.m. Starting Times North Course) October 4: Women’s Solheim Cup – Round 2 (10:00 a.m. Starting Times South Course) October 5: Private Golf Tournament (North Course Opens 5:00 p.m.) The South Course will be closed all day, and the North Course will open following the events around 5 p.m. Members may utilize the Practice Range beginning at 12 p.m. October 6: Women’s 18-Holers Closing Day (9:00 a.m. Shotgun Start North Course Front Nine) October 7: Women’s 9-Holers Closing Day (9:00 a.m. Shotgun Start South Course Back Nine)
October 9: Men’s Clover Hill Cup – Round 1 (North Course) October 10: Men’s Clover Hill Cup – Round 2 (South Course) October 12: North Course Aerification Begins October 16: Mixed Glow Ball Event (6:30 p.m. Shotgun Start North & South Course) October 23: Turkey Shoot Sign-ups Open (Saturday, November 21) -Michael Shank 21
