While there, fire crews received a relay message about another larger fire over in the Rollin Road neighbourhood which had already burned up 20 acres but had gone unreported since it began the day before. «It was almost a forest fire,» Sabourin said, during a later interview regarding the Rollins Road brush fire. «Several large trees were involved.» A crew of 40 local fire fighters split up to deal with both incidents. Sabourin reported the original fire call at Landry and Clark was under control and out by 1:30 p.m. The Rollins Road brush fire occupied crews until 7 p.m. when fire fighters were able to consi- der the situation under control and the fire extinguished andmopped up. Sabourin said local crews were able to handle both cases without the need of help fromneighbouring fire departments. Later in the mid-afternoon at the same location, the car was clocked at 122 kilometres an hour.
LEGROS / CHRÉTIEN Gino Legros naît le 28 décembre 1964 à Wakefield. Il est le fils de Jean-Claude et d’Hélène Sincennes. Gino est le frère de Mario et Linda, tous élevés à Ste-Cécile-de-Masham. Reconnu pour son expertise dans la vente de portes et fenêtres Gino est suppléant à Postes Canada. Une personne au grand cœur, il est toujours là pour aider les autres. Gino est un grand fan des Canadiens de Montréal et des Cowboys de Dallas. Sharon Chrétien naît le 16 janvier 1965 à l’Hôpital Civic d’Ottawa. Elle est la fille de Michel et de Kathleen Hamilton. Sharon est la sœur de Michel et de Christine. Elle habite toujours à Rockland et elle a le bonheur de grandir entourée de deux générations, sa grand-mère Chrétien et sa grand-mère Pilon. Gino et Sharon s’unissent en l’église de la Très-Sainte-Trinité le 20 juillet 1991. Ils ont deux garçons qu’ils adorent. Justin naît le 27 février 1996 à l’Hôpital Civic d’Ottawa. Il poursuit ses études en ingénierie civile. Jordan naît le 25 avril 1998 à l’Hôpital Civic d’Ottawa. Jordan est à l’école secondaire L’Escale et désire poursuivre ses études à l’Université d’Ottawa pour devenir un procureur de la Couronne. Gino et Sharon sont des gens qui s’impliquent beaucoup dans les sports à Rockland. Ils passent beaucoup de temps dans les arénas et les terrains de soccer à regarder et encourager leurs deux fils à pratiquer des sports. Ils aiment aussi passer du temps en famille et avec leurs amis. Ambulancière pendant 10 ans dans la région de Rockland, Sharon est à l’emploi de Bell Canada depuis 30 ans et occupe un poste de gestionnaire en tant qu’analyste.

Saturday began as a simple training day exercise for Clarence-Rockland’s fire figh- ters. But it flared up into something more serious thanks to a pair of grass fires in the St-Pascal-Baylon area. Fire Chief Pierre Sabourin reported «a very busy weekend» for all of the fire sta- tions in the City of Clarence-Rockland. The original plan for the May 9 weekend was a two-day forcible entry practice which did begin Saturday morning at 8 a.m. A grass fire call two hours later saw crews and trucks head over to a property near the intersec- tion of Landry Road and Clark Road where two acres of brush and grassland were bur- A Rockland man has an appointment to see a judge after a dispute with a neighbour resulted in a police visit. Kenneth Derouin, 54, of Rockland, is charged with criminal harassment through repeated communication and with uttering threats. The charges resulted from police investigation of aMay 6 neighbourhood dis- pute situation on Laurier Street in Rockland. The woman who filed the complaint told police that she had an ongoing problemwith harassment from her neighbour. Derouin is now scheduled for the June 10 provincial court session in L’Orignal. Impaired driving A traffic complaint report May 6 had police headed towards Laurier Street in Rockland. A witness told the officers that a man, showing signs of impairment, got into his vehicle and drove off. Police later located the vehicle on Cercle Lemay Street.
