UMADAOP CONFERENCE 2016

Benjamin began his employment at Mansfield UMADAOP in September 2013 as a Prevention Coordinator for the Young Leaders for Today and Tomorrow (YLOTT) program. He supervises fifteen Mentors for the Youth Mentorship program, which is funded by the Richland County Youth & Family Council. He authored this program that today serves approximately fifty Mentees in the greater Richland County area. Recently, Benjamin was instrumental in assisting in writing the Children of Incarcerated Parents (COIP) grant, which led to Mansfield UMADAOP receiving 1.0 million dollars on behalf of UMADAOP Federation. He was appointed by the Executive Director of Mansfield UMADAOP, Mr. Dennis Baker to coordinate the statewide effort for the Federation. He has fared well in this endeavor, in which he coordinated the five regions to a successful completion in the first year of the two year initiative. Remarkably, he continues to prove his worth every day, not only to Mansfield UMADAOP, but to the UMADAOP Federation as a whole. He is a shining new star in the UMADAOP galaxy and the expectation is that he will burn brightly for years to come in the prevention skyway.
