Registration Opens For Labelexpo South China Tarsus Group, the organizer of Labelexpo Global Series, has opened visitor registration for its first La- belexpo South China in Shenzhen, set to take place in December 2020 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. Labelexpo South China 2020, scheduled to start on December 8-10, will occupy 108,000 square feet of floor space at the venue, and builds on Labelexpo Asia 2019 in Shanghai, which re- corded its largest edition to date and an 18 percent in- crease in visitor numbers.The inaugural show offers a platform for 150 participating exhibitors, who will be showcasing the latest label and package printing ma- chinery, smart technology, materials and components. In addition, the show will focus on the fast-growing areas of the market in a number of feature areas, in- cluding Brand Print South China 2020 aimed at print- ers of all types of signage, promotional materials and collateral for brands.Visitors will be able to source spe- cialized machinery, software and materials from lead- ing manufacturers to grow their businesses. “The timing of Labelexpo South China 2020 in De- cember is extremely significant; the show will be a vi- tal catalyst for the entire label, packaging and commer- cial print industry in the region as we move into the

post Covid-19 recovery phase,” commented Kevin Liu, Event Director for Labelexpo South China 2020. PMMI Awards $16,000 In Packaging Scholarships Four students each received $4,000 from the PMMI Scholarship in Memorial of Claude S. Breeden, Glenn Davis and Art Schaefer, according to PMMI,The Associ- ation for Packaging and Processing Technologies. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 at a two-year PMMI Education Partner school, industry involvement and plans for a career in packaging and processing machin- ery manufacturing to qualify. The winners of the 2020 PMMI Scholarship in Memo- rial of Claude S. Breeden, Glenn Davis and Art Schaefer are: Will Martin, Kirkwood Community College, Ad- vanced Welding Technologies; Marcus Reed, Central Community College, Mechatronics; Caitlin Segger, Lo- rain County Community College, MEMS, Mechatronics Technology, Bachelor of Applied Science; and Sarah Windisch, University of Wisconsin-Stout, Packaging With a commitment to developing future leaders in the industry, the PMMI Foundation has awarded aca- demic scholarships each year to students enrolled in PMMI Education Partner programs since 1998.
