La structure des abris d’auto temporaires incluant le revêtement peut-être érigée à partir du 1er novembre et est permis jusqu’au 30 avril de l’année suivante. Aucun permis n’est requis pour installer un abri d’auto temporaire. Toutefois, le propriétaire doit s’assurer que son installation respecte les normes prescrites par le règlement 2009-138 sur les abris d’entreposage temporaire. Dans le cas où l’installation ne serait pas conforme à la réglementation municipale, le service de la réglementation pourrait exiger que le propriétaire concerné apporte les correctifs nécessaires, sous peine des amendes prévues au règlement. Pour de plus amples renseignements, veuillez communiquer avec le Service de la réglementation au 613 446-6022, poste 2244 ou visiter notre site web au www.clarence-rockland.com afin de visualiser le règlement municipal no 2009-138.
Temporary car enclosures including its cover can be installed as of November 1st and is permitted until April 30th of the following year. No permit is required for the installation of a temporary car enclosure. However, the owner must ensure that the installation is done in accordance to the provisions prescribed under by-law 2009-138 regulating Temporary Storage Structures. In the event that the installation is not done in accordance to the by-law, the Municipal Law Enforcement Service may request the owner to make the corrective measures necessary, as per the penalties set out in the by-law. The City of Clarence-Rockland is currently seeking applications to fill the positions of Volunteer Fire- fighter at our Clarence Creek and Rockland fire stations. We will be holding an information session, for all candidates and their spouses who are interested in joining our team. The information session will be held on Thursday November 1st, 2012 in the Council Chambers, at 1560 Laurier Street in Rockland from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (to be explained during information session) • be physically and intellectually fit • be 18 years of age or older • be a resident of the City of Clarence-Rockland and remain a resident as long as he/she holds a position of Volunteer firefighter • provide for his/her own mean of transportation (car or equivalent) and have a valid driver’s licence • must qualify and obtain a “DZ” licence within the first year of employment. DZ licence will be available through our department • successfully pass a complete medical examination • successfully complete a written test, the agility test (job related) and all other tests required by the Clarence-Rockland Fire Department (i.e.: ladders and breathing apparatus) • have successfully completed grade 12 secondary education or equivalent • Bilingual. (spoken & written) • Volunteer firefighters hired by the Clarence-Rockland Fire Department will have to successfully complete the “Ontario Fire-fighter Curriculum” within the prescribed time frame if he/she is to maintain his/her position with the Fire Department. Preference will be given to persons available during the day, Monday to Friday. The person chosen for the position will be on probation for a period of one (1) year.
