CASSELMAN | Sunday afternoon skies were cloudy and gloomy but spirits were bright and buoyant in front of the arena when the Casselman Vikings Victory Parade came to a halt. Dozens of home fans lined up along St- Isidore Street and other portions of the parade route to cheer, wave pom-poms and ribbons as the parade of fire trucks and sponsors’ vehicles trundled by on their way from the Subway Shop at the 401 overpass to their final destination in front of the J.R. Brisson Sports Complex. Holding their three season trophies aloft as the parade moved on, the Casselman Vikings waved back to the hometown crowds as they and the village celebrate a championship season for the junior B hockey club. “We appreciate everything you did for us,” said Sylvain Dignard, Vikings club president, in his address to the crowd in front of the arena. Dignard noted that there would not be a Casselman Vikings team without the parents of the players, the team’s sponsors, and the behind-the-scenes volunteers who both
