Bassetts Heating Innovation Centre

Tell us about the Bassetts Heating Innovation Centre Based just outside Portglenone in Clady, the Bassetts Heating Innovation Centre (BHIC) is a pioneering interactive facility dedicated to plumbing and heating solutions. Opened in October 2021, the centre helps plumbers, installers and developers design cost-efficient heating and ventilation systems. As the industry shifts from fossil fuels to sustainability and renewable energy, the centre was designed to build knowledge and interest among installers, developers and builders, offering bespoke heating design tailored to each customer. It features market-leading manufacturers including Grant, Mitsubishi, Glo+, Heatmiser, Ideal, Gledhill and Vent-Axia. Tell us about the BHIC team The centre is supported by experienced renewables specialists with over 50 years of combined experience, including myself - Renewables Sales Consultant Chris McCready - and Technical Renewables Sales Manager Matthew Gilpin.

What renewable and low-carbon heating technologies are showcased & can visitors get hands on with operational solutions? Unlike showrooms with static displays, everything in the BHIC consists of fully- operational working models. Visitors can test and experience: • Air-source heat pumps: Units from Grant and Mitsubishi • Heat emitters: An extensive selection of steel and aluminium radiators, alongside Glo+ underfloor heating • Cylinders & controls: Systems from Gledhill, Grant and Heatmiser, with a range of smart heating controls to match every home’s aesthetic, customisable by room • Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery: Units from Vent-Axia What other support services are offered to installers? Having working models allows manufacturing partners such as Grant and Mitsubishi to host hands-on, onsite technical training for installers. Customers also gain a first-hand understanding
