Company to construct world’s largest vertical farm totaling 69,000 s/f Hollister Construction Services breaks ground on vertical farm in Newark, NJ for AeroFarms

EWARK, NJ — Hol- lister Construction Services , a leading

full-service constructionman- ager specializing in corpo- rate, educational, healthcare, industrial, retail and resi- dential construction, broke ground on a new vertical farm at 212 Rome St. in Newark, for joint owners AeroFarms LLC and RBH Group LLC. The groundbreaking cer- emony for the world’s largest vertical farm took place on Thursday, July 9, at the 212 Rome St. site. The vertical farm will com- prise 69,000 s/f and is being constructed within a convert- ed steel factory in Newark’s Ironbound district. Aero- Farms expects to produce up to two million pounds of fresh vegetables and herbs per year when the facility is completed and in full operation. Hol- lister Construction Services BOSTON, MA – Cushman & Wakefield announced the sale of TripAdvisor | Needham in Needham, Massachusetts to an entity controlled by U.S. Realty Advisors, LLC . The Cushman & Wakefield team, led by president Robert Grif- fin , vice chairman Edward Maher and executive director Matt Pullen , oversaw the transaction of the newly-con- structed, six-story office build- ing on behalf of Normandy Real Estate Partners . As part of the transaction, managing director Jay Wag- ner and associate Timothy Hosmer placed the acquisition financing with a national life insurance company. Comprising 280,892 s/f, TripAdvisor|Needham will serve as the new global head- quarters for TripAdvisor, the world’s largest online travel company. The property, built to LEED Gold standards, will also feature a wealth of on-site amenities including a café, fit- ness center, outdoor amphithe- ater and generous structured

has played a vital role in the design and construction of the project, assisting AeroFarms in determining how to build the structure in the most ef- ficient manner. The vertical, indoor farm is expected to be completed this year. AeroFarms, a leading com- pany in sustainable urban agriculture, will be head-
