200 candidates. The Environmental Pro- tection Workgroup is tasked with developing best practices related to the protection of land, water and air during pipeline infrastructure devel- opment. This workgroup will also identify ways to maximize opportunities for predictable and efficient permitting across state and federal jurisdictions. The Environmental Protection Workgroup is one of a dozen groups that, in close coordi- nation with federal and state agencies, local governments, industry representatives,

landowners, and environ- mental and cultural resource advocates, will develop a final report for Governor TomWolf outlining recommendations for responsible development of Pennsylvania’s natural resources while supporting economic growth. Jonathan Rinde entered the legal profession with an educational background in natural resources and the sciences and professional ex- perience as an environmental consultant. He advises clients on issues ranging from wet- lands, endangered species,

and cultural resources to those involving brownfields remediation, sewage facilities, and real estate transactions and permitting. Rinde was lead environmental counsel to the Philadelphia Author- ity for Industrial Develop- ment and its acquisition of the Philadelphia Navy Yard, an approximately 1,400-acre former military base in South Philadelphia, a representation that still continues today as he assists in its redevelopment as a vibrant mixed-use devel- opment. Early in his career, he was a guest on-air com-

mentator on Court TV. More recently, he prepared chapters for The Law of Oil and Gas in Pennsylvania published by the Pennsylvania Bar In- stitute, entitled “Threatened and Endangered Species” and “Federal Wetlands Permit- ting.” MGKF concentrates its practice in environmental, energy, and land use law and litigation. He has repre- sented both borrowers and lenders in real estate financ- ing matters, including CMBS and portfolio mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, construc- tion loans, bridge loans and land assemblage loans. He has represented sellers and purchasers in the acquisition of multifamily, office and re- tail properties. n
