Helping babies breathe easier is a cause close to Dustin Laricks’ heart. In 2008, his daughter Peyton was born with a birth defect known as Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). She endured 88 days in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia NICU, 12 days on life support and multiple surgeries before beating the odds and going home to Sea Isle City. In 2009, Dustin and his wife Debbie started a foundation to honor Peyton and host local events to raise money for CDH research. Later, the Peyton's Promise CDH Research Fund was launched at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to expand the foundation's reach.
