Working with children and young people is both rewarding and fulfilling. It’s not simply nursery and childcare providers that offer a range of job roles, there are also opportunities in social care, education, mental health, family support and young offending teams. The T Level in Education and Childcare will help you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the early years sector including the employment opportunities within it. During your industry placement you will apply your knowledge to real-life scenarios and see for yourself the difference you can make.

750 HOURS INDUSTRY PLACEMENT
Ï Working in partnership Ï Professional practice
Over two years, you will complete 750 hours of industry placement. During this time, your practical skills will be observed by our assessor and you will receive support and development time from a mentor at the setting.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Students require a minimum of two grade 5s and three grade 4s, or above at GCSE. This should include grade 4s in maths and English. A successful interview is also required. If teaching is your intended career path, a grade 4 in science is also required. DBS CHECK As this course requires an Industry Placement working with children and young people, you will require a DBS Check.
